Introducing Sorting Filters
The feature that helps you to get rid of chaos in downloaded files.
Right-click the side-bar and select "New Sorting Filter". |
You now see the properties window of the new filter. Each new filter proposes you to save files into default location configured in the app preferences. Let's change it to your Movies folder using the Browse button. |
Next step is to select files of which types we want the application to put into the folder. Click "Configure File Types" and select Multimedia from the left column to list the most popular audio and video file types. Select the ones you need by double-clicking them. Click "OK" to close the dialog. |
Click "Save" to close the properties window. |
The final touch. Every filter needs a unique name for your convenience. "Videos" is a good one. Type it and hit the Enter key to confirm your choice. |

Time to test. Open the new download dialog. You can now see something new below the address field: * an option to enable or disable the feature for this particular download. * a field to select a filter previously created by yourself. Insure the feature is enabled and select your filter. The destination path changes every time you select a different filter. That is the swift way to select the right path for each download without browsing for folder. Create as many filters as you need to keep your downloads sorted. |
